Zamberlan’s range of mountaineering boots has been designed to guarantee maximum safety and comfort even at high altitudes. Our mountaineering boots are perfect for mountain expeditions from glaciers and ice climbing to dry-tooling. They were created to ensure a perfect fitting boot, maximum sensitivity, high performance and safety using the best technology that the shoe industry has to offer.
Technical features and materials used in mountaineering boots
Waterproofness, good traction and resistance together with lightness are the essential technical qualities needed for high altitude expeditions. Some models have an upper made from Cordura® and microfiber whilst others have an internal upper made from leather treated with Hydrobloc®. The structured midsole and the Vibram® sole offer better support and necessary rigidity. The use of technical materials such as PU and carbon fibres makes the alpine boots even more resistant and trustworthy whilst maintaining a lightness and an excellent thermal insulation.
Crampon and semi-automatic crampon compatible mountaineering boots
Many of our boots are crampon and semi-auto crampon compatible: the choice depends on the type of desired performance and alpine activity that one intends to be doing.
