Construction methods

GTX BOOTEE

The unique GORE-TEX Bootee construction is based on lamination between the upper and the GORE-TEX membrane to exploit its waterproof and breathable features. The reliability of GTX lining and the constructive system guarantee sturdiness, comfort and protection.

NORWEGIAN WELTED

A very traditional and extremely resistant construction method, which features two lines of stitching: the first fixes the upper to the midsole (which is specifically designed for this use) whereas the second fixes the upper to the insole, which will later be glued to the outsole.

CLIMBING

Technical and performing line that is the result of in-depth studies on the morphology and anatomy of the foot. Unrivalled ergonomics and wrapping of the foot to guarantee top performance in any conditions.


1.Tubular construction upper.

2.Sanded rubber rand for maximum protection on front and side sections.

3. Special roughened rubber rand that envelops the whole insole.

4. Roughened rubber rand to envelop and enclose as a shell the whole upper.

5. Vibram® XS Grip rubber: special climbing compound that offers the best combination of adherence and grip.

6. Climbing shoe internal view: the tubular construction is obtained by stitching the upper as a whole piece, as if it were a sock.

DIRECT /INJECTION

1. Cut and stitched upper.

2. Felt insole applied using a Ströbel slip last stitching.

3. Anatomical stabilizer to grant torsional stability with holes to reduce the weight and allow the passage of PU to bond outsole to upper.

4. Upper and anatomical stabilizer are inserted into a half-open mould by injection.

5.Injected PU wedge to bond outsole to upper and provide shock absorption.

6. Injection points through which liquid PU will spread all over the mould.

7. Pre-moulded Vibram® rubber out-sole placed on the bottom of the mould.
